Walk across Chapel Porth beach and look up to Wheal Coates , the engine house that stands beside Towanroath Shaft is in a spectacular setting as it lies half way down the cliff between St. Agnes and Chapel Porth and makes a wonderful photograph or indeed a painting.
On the top of the cliffs are the houses for winding and stamps engines
