Helston ls located midway between Falmouth and Penzance
Helston dates back to Roman times when it was developed as a port. It was the most westerly of Cornwall's five medieval stannary towns. In the Middle Ages tin was bought to Helston for assaying and taxing before being shipped from the once busy quayside.
